I thought about calling this blog “Closing out 2010” and then I thought sheesh…why do that! It was a roller-coaster year, to say the least, but it ended on some really high notes so why not build on those.

A quick review of the business side of life shows steady growth, especially since I moved my office to the Small Business Incubator at the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce around the 1st of August. I can’t say enough about the Chamber the the people who really are the Chamber.

We’ve worked on some cool projects this year — a few of the more memorable new websites were: Web-Sites-For-Less.com, The 2010 Canadian National Spaniel Championship, Blacktail Ridge Development, Squareclose Gundogs, CoRental Property Management, South Sound Reverse Mortgage, A Steve’s Professional Truck Mounted Steam Cleaning, Olympia Thai Massage, and nearly finished are G & D Kennels, Wagner’s European Bakery & Cafe, and The Gem Clinic.

Now that “The Brook’s Brothers” are part of the Web-Sites-For-Less.com design team, production will begin to go much faster. Graham, the younger, is an intern from New Meadows Skills Center and Clinton, the older, a recent college graduate. Both are talented and creative and great assets to the business! Content management websites via WordPress will be a big part of our future.

With twelve new design projects “in the queue”, everything from fireworks sales to a palm and fingerprint analyst, we should all be very busy for the foreseeable future. We will continue to build our Search Engine Optimization business, partnering with Pam Folsom of Folsom Public Relations, who will be doing much of the technical copy-writing. Pam also handles virtually all of our marketing efforts with amazing success!

In addition we are moving forward in 2011 with developing custom Facebook Fan pages for small businesses. These pages will be designed to incorporate company branding and give the business side of Facebook a very professional and custom look. Packages will be offered that will include Facebook classes from Kieran and Sherri Murry at Kieranslist.com.
